CONTENT  ·  Blog writing + Google posts by smbGOLF

We write it. Your website publishes it. Google shows it.

With CONTENT, smbGOLF writes and publishes at least 24 blog posts a year on your website. Each one, along with every event on your calendar, then becomes a post on your Google Business Profile, written for Google, with your photo and a button that sends golfers back to book, sign up or read more.

It runs every night without anyone remembering to do it, and every click is tracked back to the post that earned it.

Why CONTENT exists

Golfers meet your course on Google before they ever reach your website.

Most courses publish little on either. Writing a steady run of useful posts takes time few course teams have, and when a course does publish a blog post or add a league night to its calendar, none of it reaches the Google profile golfers are actually looking at.

That’s a Digital Hospitality gap: your course has things worth saying, but they aren’t being said, or they aren’t reaching where the golfer is standing. CONTENT closes the gap from both ends. We keep your website active with posts written for your golfers, and every new post and event shows up on your Google profile as a post written for Google.

What’s included

One piece of writing reaches your website and your Google profile.

✍️

24+ blog posts a year

About two a month, written by smbGOLF and published on your own website, answering what golfers in your market search for alongside your course news.

📍

Google posts for your course alone

Every blog post and calendar event becomes its own Google post, written in your voice from your content. Nothing is ever shared with another course.

📅

Event posts with sign-up buttons

Events post with their dates, times, image and a Sign up button, queued about two weeks ahead so a weekly league gets one fresh post a week.

✅

Approval or hands-off

Start by approving each post. Once you trust it, switch to auto-publish and it runs on its own.

📏

Google’s posting rules handled

No phone numbers, pasted links, hashtags or emoji, and never over the character limit, so posts don’t get rejected.

📊

Tracking on every post

Every button carries tracking tied to the exact post, connected to your Digital Hospitality reporting.

How it works

A daily cycle that runs without adding work for your staff.

Step 1

We write and publish

We write and publish blog posts on your website, at least 24 a year. You keep adding events to your calendar the way you do today.

Step 2

CONTENT picks it up

Each night, CONTENT checks your website for new blog posts and upcoming events. There’s nothing to install on your site.

Step 3

Rewritten for Google

The next morning, each new item is rewritten for Google: a strong first line, the details that matter, and one clear next step.

Step 4

You approve, or it auto-publishes

Approve it with one click, or let it publish on its own once you trust it. Approved posts go live within the hour.

Step 5

Live and measured

The post goes live on your Google profile, and the visits and bookings it drives show up in your reporting.

What gets posted

Everything starts on your own website.

Each blog post and each event becomes exactly one Google post on your course’s profile, written for Google rather than copied, using only facts from your own site.

From your blog

Blog post → Google update

A Google-native rewrite of the article, about 100 to 250 words, with its featured image. A strong first line that works before Google’s “More” cut, then the details, then one clear next step. Exact rates are left out in favor of your current pricing page.

Button: Learn more, to the article

From your events calendar

Event → Google event post

The event title, start and end time as your calendar shows them, the event image, and a short write-up. Each event is queued about two weeks before it starts, and recurring events are reworded each week so they never read the same.

Button: Sign up, to your registration link, or Learn more, to the event page

Control and safeguards

The default is control. The destination is hands-off.

Every post is checked before it publishes: copy present and under Google’s limit, secure button links, events that haven’t ended, and a verified profile. Every publish is logged with its time and a link to the live post.

Default

Approval

Finished posts wait in your queue until someone approves them. Approved posts go live within the hour. Skip any post and it will never publish.

Once you trust it

Auto-publish

Finished posts go live within about an hour with no human step. Only finished copy can auto-publish; a draft never goes live on its own.

Never late

Expired and held posts

An event that ends before approval is closed out automatically, and a post that fails a check is held with a note explaining why. If Google rejects a post, you hear about it.

Measurement

Every click tracked back to the post that earned it.

Google doesn’t report clicks on post buttons, so CONTENT measures them on your own website. Every button carries tracking codes tied to the exact post, and your GA4 records each visit and what the golfer did next.

🎯

Visits and conversions per post

See which posts sent golfers to your site and whether they booked a tee time, filled out a form or kept browsing.

📈

Profile-level results

Search and Maps views, calls, direction requests, website clicks, bookings and messaging clicks for your Google profile, refreshed every three days.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is CONTENT, in simple terms?

CONTENT is smbGOLF writing and publishing at least 24 blog posts a year on your website, then turning every one of those posts, and every event on your calendar, into a unique post on your Google Business Profile. It runs nightly on its own and tracks what golfers do with each post.

Do we have to write anything?

No. smbGOLF writes the blog posts and publishes them on your website. Your team keeps adding events to your calendar the way it does today, and CONTENT handles the rest.

Do we have to install anything on our website?

No. CONTENT reads your website’s blog and events calendar from the outside. It works with WordPress blogs and The Events Calendar today, and support for more event systems is being added.

Will posts go live without our approval?

Not unless you want them to. Every course starts on approval, so nothing posts until someone approves it. Once your first posts look right, you can switch to auto-publish and go hands-off.

Are the Google posts copied from our blog?

No. Each one is rewritten for Google in your course’s voice, using only facts from your own website, with no invented details, prices or claims. Every post is unique to your course and never shared with another course.

How do we know it’s working?

Every post button carries tracking tied to that exact post, so your GA4 shows the visits and bookings each post drives. Your Google profile results, such as views, calls, direction requests and website clicks, are reported alongside it.

How much does CONTENT cost?

CONTENT is included in the websites smbGOLF builds for golf courses, and in golf course websites we manage that were built by another vendor. For golf courses and small businesses that only want CONTENT, it’s $595 a year, and it’s a great addition to AWARE.
